98cc, 1-cylinder, 2-cycle, 2.3hp, 2-speed.
Launched in August 1949. After buying in cycle components such as wheels, forks etc for their C-type model, the D-type was Honda's first complete own manufactured frame and engine motorcycle and the first Honda to be named 'DREAM'.
