Benly CB92 Super Sport
1959

124cc SOHC 2-cylinder, air-cooled engine with electric start. Producing 15bhp @ 10,500rpm.

The first super-sports model from Honda. 

A 125cc OHC twin with electric start in the late 1950s! - a great example of Honda's early engineering ability.

Off to the IOM TT!...
In 1959 Honda first raced at the IOM TT Races and the Japanese riders used this model as a training bike to learn the course! For this year the 125cc Class raced on the shorter 10.92 mile Clypse course.

Restoring a barn-find CB92...
During 2015/16 we had the privilege of restoring one of these early classics that had been rescued from a barn in Surrey, England. The finished bike can be seen opposite.
