Here is a selection of our past and current restoration projects that we have undertaken on behalf of
private clients and for The David Silver Honda Collection museum in Suffolk.

1957 Honda Benly JC-57
During 2018/19 we took on the task to fully restore this interesting and very rare 1950s Honda Benly on behalf of David Silver for his Honda Collection museum
It was a privilege to work on such an early Honda but with parts no longer available it was a bit of a challenge! However, the end result is very pleasing.
This example was found in the USA and as the JC-57 was only originally sold in Japan it is believed that a serving in Japan American GI
purchased the bike in the late 1950s for local use then took it back on his serving ship to California!

1962 CB92
1962 Honda CB92 Benly Super Sport
This rare iconic 125cc twin was found in a Surrey barn in 2013. During 2015/16 we completed a challenging full nut & bolt restoration on behalf of David Silver Spares.
The finished bike is now on display in David's Honda Collection museum.

1964 Honda CZ100 Monkey
September 2018 - A model we had been looking forward to restoring arrived in our workshop. Delivered dismantled as shown, all parts were checked and reconditioned with missing parts secured from various worldwide sources, including an exhaust box from Vietnam! The CZ100 is now finished, running and back with its owner.

1970 Honda CB750-K0 Police
This rare CB750 Police model came to us in many boxes of dismantled parts! And of course when that happens many parts are missing! Searching around the globe we managed to complete the restoration task and this example is now proudly on display in  The David Silver Honda Collection museum along with six other different period Honda Police models.

1972 Honda CB500-K1 Four
During 2017/2018 we restored one of these all time greats for its proud owner. A fine example of quality early 1970s Honda engineering. A full restoration with frame & black cycle parts completely cleaned and repainted; tank and panels repainted by Dream Machine; engine dismantled to bottom-end level, checked, cleaned, painted and rebuilt with new components; carburettors fully overhauled; wheels restored and a previously fitted rear disc brake conversion removed and returned to original drum-brake specification.

1974 Honda CB750-K4
In 2016, having been under cover in a garden of a North London home for over 8 years, this K4 example came to us for restoration on behalf of its owner
who was keen to re-commence its use for daily London commuting. The 750 is now restored and back in daily use!

1977 Honda CB400F2
In 2018 a Honda enthusiast from Birmingham asked us to fully restore his CB400F2 he had owned from new. Fitted with aftermarket engine bars and rear carrier but otherwise standard and original, this CB400F2 was fully dismantled to its last nut and bolt and carefully restored to its original specification. Now completed and returned to its owner.

1979 Honda CBX-Z
In 2016 a very tired and somewhat neglected six-cylinder CBX, with extensive aftermarket parts, came to us for a full restoration and return to original factory specification and finish for its owner. All the aftermarket parts were removed and sold raising funds towards the restoration work. The tank & panels were fully restored by Dream Machine of Nottingham and the chassis and related components returned to their former black finish. This CBX is now back to its original specification.  It was a challenging task as many original parts had to be sourced in best possible condition and the engine had suffered from a tough life with eight different oil leaks with the crankcases needing some specialist alloy repair. Having managed to find an original Sankei exhaust system the next task was to get its rust holes repaired then the entire system re-chromed.
The result - road tested, new MOT and now back with its owner standing proud in its original candy glory red colour scheme.

1980 Honda CB650P Police
October 2019 - over the past few years we have been commissioned by The David Silver Honda Collection museum to restore/rebuild six different Honda Police models from the 1970s/80s. Here are the before and after photos of the last one now completed. All six bikes are now on display in the museum.

1975 Honda CB360T
As a 2020 project, this imported from the USA twin-cylinder has come to us for restoration. Already looking quite smart, but in detail the frame requires re-painting along with
many other tasks to bring this 70s middle-weight back to its former glory. After a full restoration this Honda is now finished and back with its owner.

1976 Honda TL125S
Now completed, the full restoration on this rare trials model was a challenge! Mainly searching the globe for missing original parts, especially the exhaust system and
all the small fixings that were missing! The TL is now back to its original specification and finish and back with its owner.

1975 Honda CB400F (USA model)

February 2020 - Arrived direct from North America this US specification CB400F is scheduled for a full restoration for its owner.

Now completed and ready to go!

1979 Honda CB900F-Z

A very early (first week of production!) example of this fabulous DOHC Four has undergone full restoration during 2021/22.

Replacement parts were a challenge, especially finding original HM exhausts as each side was sourced from different European countries then repaired and re-chromed.

Our current restoration projects...
1964 Honda CB72 Super Sport
Currently undergoing full restoration for The David Silver Honda Collection museum is this 1960s CB72. One of Honda's first sports bikes and a popular model in the
UK during its time. This USA model example will be fully restored to a working example in UK specification with low-bars etc.

1985 Honda NS400R Rothmans

A new project for us, being a rare Honda 2-stroke, is this V3 NS400R which arrived for full restoration back to original factory finish.

Due to rare availability of parts this project may take us some time!!

1985 Honda NS400R Rothmans

And another! A second NS400R, also originally a Rothmans model, arrived for full restoration back to factory finish.

This one had a bit of a tough life and came with a seized engine which was a further challenge due to the lack of availability of pistons etc.

Now, with all required parts located, its back to its former glory following a long detailed restoration and almost ready for the road.

1986 Honda ATC250ES Big Red x 2!

February 2022 - Something different! Two well used ATC250ES Big Red models have just arrived for full detailed restoration to original factory finish.
